Who are we?

We are CodeHills limited  (“we”“us” or “our”), a company registered in Rwanda with  Registration  number  122057023 by Rwanda Development Board.

We own and operate https://code-hills.com (the “Website”), through which you can access functionality and information in respect of the services we provide to you from time to time.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Law No 058/2021 Relating to the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy was enacted. It entered into force on 15 October 2021.  (or any other subsequent enactment of it in the Repblic of Rwanda) (together, “Data Protection Laws”), we are:

a data controller in respect of any personal data that you share with us, or that we collect, through the Website (including personal data you provide to us, or that we collect, during your registration for, and subscription to, the Services we provide) or otherwise in your communications with us

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but which by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) ​​notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment. The data collected in this way could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of any computer crimes against the site.

Data provided directly by the user:

a)Data provided directly by the user through the “contact us” contact form on the site (name, surname, email address and any other data voluntarily provided by the user). The provision of the data indicated in the form is mandatory to send the request and failure to provide it will make it impossible to proceed with the forwarding of the request and, consequently, the impossibility of obtaining the requested service. These data are used exclusively for the purpose of processing user requests.

b) Data sent optionally, explicitly and voluntarily to the email addresses indicated on the site. In this case, the sender’s address is acquired, necessary to respond to the request, as well as any other personal data included in the message. In no way will personal data be processed for marketing purposes. Any specific summary information is reported or displayed on the pages of the Site prepared for services on request, in such a way as to draw the interested party’s attention to the processing of his/her personal data.

Purpose

The personal data collected from the interested parties and spontaneously communicated by them through the “contact us” section of the site, or through any other form of contact, are used directly for the correct management of the advanced request and, possibly, to provide feedback to the itself. The data will also be processed, only with express consent, for the sending of informative messages and commercial and promotional communications relating to the activity carried out by the Data Controller, through the various tools used (such as email, SMS, telephone contact) in complete compliance with the principles of lawfulness and correctness and of the provisions of the law.

Processing methods

The data processing takes place through IT and electronic media of the Data Controller, by specially appointed internal subjects, in compliance with adequate security measures in order to minimize the risks of destruction or loss – including accidental – of the data, unauthorized access or processing that is not permitted or does not comply with the collection purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy.

Storage time

The data are stored, in compliance with the principles of necessity and proportionality, for the period strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected or for the sole purpose of answering questions received regarding the products.

Communication

The data collected may be communicated to third parties who carry out outsourced activities on behalf of the owner, as co-owners or duly appointed external managers (such as, by way of example but not limited to, IT supply and assistance companies). In any case, the processing by these subjects must take place in compliance with the legal provisions in force and the instructions given. The data may also be communicated to the competent authorities, according to the provisions of the law.

Cookie

No personal data of users is acquired by the site for this purpose. Cookies are not used to transmit information of a personal nature, nor are so-called cookies used. persistent cookies of any kind, or systems for tracking users. The use of so-called session cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and secure exploration efficient site. The so-called Session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other IT techniques potentially prejudicial to the privacy of users’ browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data of the user.

Rights of the interested party

The interested party will be able to assert their rights by contacting the data controller though sending communications to the email address infor@code-hills.com. In particular, the interested party will be able to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data concerning him, even if not yet registered, and their communication in an intelligible form. The interested party has the right to obtain indication: a) of the origin of the personal data; b) the purposes and methods of processing; c) of the logic applied in case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments; d) the identification details of the owner, managers and designated representative; e) of the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of them in their capacity as designated representatives in the territory of the State, managers or agents. The interested party also has the right to obtain: a) updating, rectification or, when interested, integration of the data; b) the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those whose retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed; c) certification that the operations referred to in letters a) and b) have been brought to the attention, also with regard to their content, of those to whom the data have been communicated, except in the case in which such fulfillment proves impossible or involves the use of means that are manifestly disproportionate to the protected right. The interested party has the right to object, in whole or in part: a) for legitimate reasons to the processing of personal data concerning him, even if pertinent to the purpose of the collection; b) to the processing of personal data concerning him for the purposes of sending advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.
